Gift card holder

Good evening everyone! I´m sorry that I´m a bad blogger at the moment, I´ve got so much around me at the moment. I believe Christmas countdown has started with all planning it includes for visiting relatives and other gatherings.

This card is a part of those Christmas preparations. It´s a gift card holder for someone lucky, won´t tell who, Santa still has some secrets. As you all can guess it´s for someone who plays american football and belongs to the Solna Chiefs team, and it´s a male card :)

The image is Greeting Farm and it´s coloured with watercolour pens. I added some black glossy details with a Sakura pen. Decorpaper is Blue Awning. Stars are QK and alphabet is Sissix. Tiny stars and thread are from my stash.

Here´s the inside with the gift card holder. I cut out the helm from a stamped image and coloured it with Sakura pens. The bigger stars are filled with Stickles. I´m sorry that the photos are blurred, but it was so cloudy today.

This card enters this weeks challenge at Cupcake Crafts Challenges.

Tomorrow I´ll visit a small local church and listen to all lovely Advent hymns. After church I´ll have a cake with raisins and almonds, that´s a part of my Christmas traditions :)

I hope you all have a fab weekend,

Christmas card for a pre-schooler

Good morning everyone! This is my first try with a side step card, just love the shape of it. I used Bonnies fab tutorial, she makes wonderful cards.
This card is for a pre-schooler and as a pre-schooler I loved all things glittery, so I´ve been very generous with the glitter... and everything else too. Don´t know why and I´m not so sure of the result, but I think a pre-schooler could love it. I´ll make a second one, but keep it a bit cleaner, a lot more cleaner, hehe.

I have used Rangers Stickles and snow white glitter from Panduro. The image and the lovely tree are Penny Black (thanks Simon Says!), the Christmas presents are Magnolia. The snowflakes are Cuttlebug. Ribbon, stars, heart and green staplers are from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the decor paper I made with different ink pads.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge
- Christmas card for a pre-schooler or babys first Christmas.
Bizzy Becs- Creatalicious Challenges- Christmas card with glitter and snowflakes.
Colour Create Challenge- red, white an green with the optional Christmas.
Simon Says Stamps Challenge- animal antics.
Penny Black Saturday Challenge- Winter Wonderland.

Hope you all get some sun today! It´s rainy and cloudy here again. But we did have a wonderful and sunny day yesterday. This November has been so dark, until Friday we have had only 3,8 hours of sun according to a friend. Well it´s that time of the year :)

Take care,

A Bird House

Good afternoon all! This week I´ve been busy with this lovely bird house. I´m no good with folds and such things, but I found a template in the Tilda Ink magazine that was easy enough for me to follow.

Decorpaper and star shaped buttons are from Panduro. The gorgeous roses are from Handarbeta. I used a Cuttlebug die for the snowflake and a QK die for small leaves. Ribbons, gems and threads are from my stash. The faux stitching is made with Sakura pens. The acetate for the window, urm the birds wont get into to this house, is from a grape package.

Here´s a picture showing the roof. One side of the roof isn´t glued and you can open it to fill the house with candy or a tea light (the electric ones works best here).

The sentiment stamp is Prima. I have been generous with Star Dust Stickles and some Perfect Pearls. I´m quite pleased with this one, as it is my first real try with a bird house, but it was so easy to follow the instructions. Might try to make a card with fun folds too :)

I´ll enter By The Cute And The Girly again, you can enter their challenges with different crafts, and Whimsy Stamps Challenges who wants to something else than cards.

Got to show you the fab blog candy I won last friday at Simon Says Stamp. It´s a lovely Penny Black stamp and I´m so looking forward to use it. I have to say that I´m surprised over the fast delivery, thanks so much Simon SS! I´ll have a lovely weekend with this one! And with my family too, hehe.

Hope you all get a fab friday evening,

Thinking of you

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all doing well. This week is much more calm at work, I´ve met all collegues and I know what to do, at least I think so, hehe. And I still got some time for crafting, so everything is fine here :)

This card that suits for Simon Says Stamp Challenge as they got a Thinking of you theme. The stamps are Magnolia and they are coloured with watercolour pens. Decorpaper is Laura Ashley, they are gorgeous. I used paperscraps for the QK leaves and flowers. Small flower punch, sentiment, gems and button are Panduro. Border punch is Martha Stewart. Thread and stars are from my stash. Sakura pens gave some glaze and golden highlights, but the photo doesn´t show them too well. We have such cloudy and rainy days at the moment.

Take care all,

Snow much fun

I bought this scrapbook paper on a sale, but it didn´t work with my photos at all. Next time I´ll bring along the photos to the store for a better colour match. It´s a bit easier with cardmaking, choose papers and then colour image. If you don´t get a colouring disaster, hehe. I had one with this image, but I hid it with a gem necklace.

This card works for Cupcake Craft Challenges as they have A Snow Much Fun theme this week.

The Magnolia image is coloured with watercolour pens and I can join Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

As I´ve used Distress Inks for distressing I can join Just Magnolia, no other distressing today, it´s distressing enough to start a new work :)

I have used white, blue and silver and have the optional snow and winter so I can join Colour Create Challenge. I had to add some warm yellow colours to Tilda, for a moment she looked as she had come out from the freezer.

Decor paper is from Panduro, I cut the sentiment from that paper too, it says Merry Christmas in Swedish.

Ribbon is KC Blue Awning, gems are Panduro and snowflakes are from my local craft shop.
I´ve used Nesties, Cuttlebug embossing folder and my scissors.

Hope you all get a nice evening,

Winter Wonder

Good evening everyone! I treated myself to some new embossingpowders a few weeks ago and I´ve been exploring how they work with different inks. It was fun to just stamp away. This card is what I came up with and I think it works well with the Winter Wonder Challenge at By The Cute And Girly.

My long recipe:
I made the decorpaper using different Tim Holtz stamps; the wings are clearembossed and the background is coloured with Distress Inks. The corner stamps are embossed with Heat Its Silvery Pearl. Crown, harlequin squares and parts of some swirls are embossed with Rangers Liquid Platinum. The colour differences depends of the ink colour.

I have used a Tim Holtz mask for the background and I also used it as a stamp to give small colour variations, but most of it tuned in to the background when I sprinkled the paper with water from my MiniMister. So much trouble for nothing, hehe.

The heart button is fom Panduro and got a layer of Rangers Crackle Paint, some more colour with a ink pad and a coat of Dimensional Magic. I can recommend the Crackle Paint, my crackle medium gives so tiny cracks compared to this one and you only need one coat of colour.

Snowflakes and stars are plastic cut with Cuttlebug dies, they got a generous layer of Stickles.
Sentiment is Panduro and gems are from my stash. All paper edges got some Stickles too.

Next week I´ll start my part time job at a local school and I do hope I´ll get some spare time for crafting and for bloghopping.

Hope you all get a fab weekend,

Hot pink and black

Here´s my card to Jaimie. I read somewhere that she likes the colours hot pink and black and that she isn´t a girly girl.

I wanted to keep the card quite clean as the colours and the dots works so well together.
I made a reversed embossing of a Nestie into the cardstock. Decorpaper and pink ribbon is Panduro, ribbons with dots are Papermania. A Sakura pen finished the flower.

The inside of the card has got a pink decorpaper from Clas Ohlsson and a black with dots from Panduro.
Heart die is QK and oval is a Nestie.

The backside did get a row of jumping QK rabbits.

Please read more about Jaimie on Whimsy Stamps Challenges, I´ll send my card tomorrow.

Take care,

More sparkle for Simon

I´ve made one more sparkly creation for Simon Says Stamps Challenge, this time it´s really sparkly! Now I do have sparkle on everything else too, it has spread itself from my workingspace to all other rooms. Won´t be suffering from any sparkle shortage when this year, hehe. Mind you, some shops have been selling Christmas decorations for two weeks now, they do start earlier every year, don´t they?

This is an altered box for some Christmas treats. I used the resist technique with lovely stamps from Simon Says. I stamped the images with a clear Tsukineko pad on a white halfglossy cardstock. It´s very tempting to press the clearstamps harder when you don´t see the image appear clearly, I need some more practise with clear pads. The images are heat embossed with Rangers clear embossing powder. I used Distress Inks for the background.

The fab tags and paper with dots are Funky Fairys. The glittery paper and snowflake brads are Papermania. Snowball border and snowflakes and stars are Cuttlebug, and swirl is from a Sissix die. Glittery effects are made with Stickles fab Star Dust and gem is from my stash. Oh, I almost forgot, the sentiment is Kortmakaren and it says "Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year".

Hope you all have a lovely sparkly day,
