Where do we go now?

Life changes always bring questions, don't they? But I heard something nice at the movies today; the wrong train sometimes take you to the right station. It had a soothing and comforting feel. But you could flip it; the right train can take you to the wrong station! Card making is so much easier than life philosophy, so lets move on...

I used a for me new technique for the card. Creating a background, adding a heat embossed pattern, colouring the background again and misting with perfect pearls. Then removing the embossed areas with an iron, using copy papers to protect the iron.

4 Crafty Chicks: Crazy Egg Anything Goes
Crafty Catz Challenge: Anything Goes

I used:
Glossy cardstock, Distress inks
Hero Arts Plaid stamp, extra fine embossing powder, embossing ink
Perfect pearls for shine
Iron to remove the embossing
3D squares for dimension
Obsession Impression sentiment, Nestabilities dies
Star shaped sequins

I'm honoured to have received an Honorable Mention at CASalogy my card in the previous post.

Thank you so much for visiting and welcome all new followers, I'm so glad you found me. Have a wonderful weekend and step on right train if travelling in life.

Summer breezes

We're enjoying a fabulous weekend with summer temperatures, I'm hiding indoors at midday for crafting as my skin never get a tan, it gets different shades of red. Love the new +50 SPF products and cooling shadows. I was going to write that I prefer to lurk in the shadows, but that gives an impression of a Quasimodoish type, doesn't it?!

Less Is More: Die Cuts
CASology: Flower
Cute Card Thursday: Text only, no stamped image
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use them Snippets

I used:

Thank you for all your kind words, I'm feeling much better. I've been choosing to do something I love to do at least once  a day...and that really helps. The daily chores are there anyhow. I'm still a slow blogger though, so bear with me.

Love and warm hugs

April Shower brought us May Flowers

Howdy!? Hope you're enjoying the weekend, I've experienced a few personal set backs and been a bit low. Nothing serious at all, I'll dust it off. I got a little help from the saying; April Showers brings May Flowers, there will come good things if  I have faith ...and with some hard work. So, as I work hard I play hard, hehe! I'm trying to learn to make pleasant photos of cards, something I often struggle with. The Northern Hemisphere can be a challenge light wise during the winter months, so I'll try to get a grip of it now.

It should be spring, but the weather with cold rain says something else. Better cheer up with a purple card.
This is my first attempt on clean layering, is it too busy? I'm still struggling with the camera, the card stock is white IRL.

More Flowers to Mum

Beautiful flowers to mum; the label is from Slöjddetaljer, Kaiser half pearls, Itsy Bitsy stamps for background, white Color Box ink, Changeables alphabet stamps, the words says "To my mother" in Swedish, the small rectangles were made from a notebook backing coloured with Distress inks and Perfect Pearls. The rectangles were punched out with a nameless punch. It's quite nice as it takes card board.

Have a wonderful day!
